AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP)
.
A program offering free medication for the treatment of HIV/AIDS and opportunistic infections caused by the disease. To qualify, applicants must be HIV positive (asymptomatics are eligible), a NYS resident (U.S. citizenship and immigration documentation are not required), have income less than $44,000/year for a family of one, and have financial resources (savings, stocks, bonds, etc.) equaling less than $25,000. Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage (EPIC) Program

EPIC is a New York State program for lower-income seniors that shares in the cost of prescription drugs. Eligibility requirements and applications may be accessed on the EPIC Web site or by calling 1-800-332-3742. Sponsored by the NYS Department of Health.
VA Health Benefits Center
.
Provides veterans with free or $7 prescriptions. Program requires that the veteran enroll with the US Veterans Administration (VA), be seen by a VA doctor, and have been honorably discharged from the military. For more information, call 1-877-222-8387 or
